"My fitness journey started August 2019. I had just had a baby and wasn’t feeling like myself so I decided to start working out. My first class was a Zumba and I thought to myself, “I need something a little more challenging, so I went back the next day and the class I took was Body Pump. Now, when I first walked in I was so intimidated because everyone was really about their workout and I was so so out of shape and had no clue what I was doing or getting into. Then I see the instructor and she’s up there upbeat and full of energy and very pregnant ! So the class starts and midway through the work I’m really struggling to keep up because I had not worked out in so long. So the instructor, Elizabeth tells us, “ok you have completed 30 minutes if you are new and would like to stop it’s ok you can come back and continue to work your way up to a full workout. Now, I’m standing there (dying of course) thinking should I leave but I couldn’t , because I saw Elizabeth up there with a belly and doing an amazing job that I thought “what nerve I have saying I can’t do this when she’s up there kicking a$$! So I stood and toughed it out and I haven’t left since. I continued to take all of her classes until she left and it really motivated me to continue to challenge myself and to work harder. All I kept thinking about was “if she can do it, I have so excuse, so can I . She’s back at body pump and I’m right there along with her still being motivated by her and getting a kick a$$ workout!"
